Darkening saddles...... what oil should I use?
I'm trying to darken the rough out jockey and fenders on one of my barrel saddle, A LOT. I want it to be closer to the color of the rest of the saddle.
I've been using Jobsite's Prime Neatsfoot Oil Compound. It says, "Oil may permanantely darken light colored leathers."
Well, it did, but it seems that it will only get so dark, and then the next time I oil it, it doesn't get any darker.
How can I get it to keep getting darker?
I also have saddle soap and carnauba cream.
I've applied it 5 times over a period of 2 days, and probably 10 other times in the past. And... all I have is black.

Mixer something or other, I used a leather dressing that my dad said was mink oil. It worked so well! I can't wait to use it again tonight. Thanks!
Mink oil will also darken saddles.. Neatsfoot oil got my saddle darker, but be sure to buy PURE neatsfoot oil, since any synthetics can actually break down the leather.
Also, direct sunlight darkens cowhide leather a bit.. maybe cover the parts of the saddle you don't want darkened and leave it out during the day.
There are also leather dyes on the market, but I've never used them so I have NO experiance there!

Found Seiko St-727 Guitar/bass tuner battery operated acoustic guitar....?
...Has Led lites. 3 butons and meter ,now stoped
As mention this tuner was great for tuning guitar strings , would on ledscreen tell you which string # and note E,a,gd,g,b,e which ever sting on and would blink from red lit and meter #of from 0 which when there would turn green. Worked fine for 4 days and now just goes on by self every few secods to 2 B and like stuck . and sugestions? What does a new one these go for now days also has on off switch and in out plug for from guitar to into amp with tuner in middele if one wants to use amp, but the tuner also has Built in mic. Thanks
First, here is a link to the ST-727 instruction manual. It may not be useful if the unit is broken, but what the heck...
Second, you can get a brand new one on E-Bay for $20 (+$11 UPS Ground, +7% tax since you identify yourself as being from New Jersey) or a used one for less.
Third, if you want a new tuner find a nearby music store (like Sweetest Sounds over in Lyndhurst) and pick one up, or buy one from a site like Musician's Friend (both Korg and Yamaha make inexpensive, well-reviewed tuners, as do a few other manufacturers)
